At Wharf we invite our customers to come down and see what we are all about. here we can see a training day with three of our clients from the Dream Doors group, Dream Doors Slough, Dream Doors St Albans and Dream Doors Surrey & Sussex . These sessions have been created to help give our clients a better understanding into the Solid Surface world that we live and to become as passionate about selling Wharf Simple as we are!!

Here at The Wharf we’ve always said we’ll go to the ends of the earth to provide our clients with the best possible solid surfaces and on Thursday it certainly seemed like that’s exactly where we’d ended up.
Working on a fit for our friends at Tim Riley Kitchens we found ourselves at an amazing cliff top house in Porthcothan on the North Cornwall coast. Here’s the view from the kitchen:
And perhaps more importantly, here’s a view of the kitchen itself and the wonderful Wharf Simple worktops we were installing:
If you look carefully you’ll see our Boss Trevor in the bottom left hand corner of this picture – the lengths some people will go to in order to stay out of the photo!
Interested in Wharf Simple worktops? Why not get in touch with us – we’d love to go the extra mile for you and your customers.

Today’s installation was a fit of beautiful Cameo White Corian worktops, slab-ends and bench for our friends The Myers Touch.
This stunningly designed Winchester farmhouse kitchen is a real showpiece, featuring a central island with flush-fitted hob.
The Wharf team is always keen to work with architectural designers, providing bespoke solutions for the most demanding of clients.

We are now fitting more jobs then ever and the workshop is buzzing – a big thanks to all the team. The days are just flying by, but we have the long weekend to look forward to.

The Wharf B team (B because it includes the Boss, Trevor) was out to install two quick fits on Thursday for our friends at Dream Doors Oxford.
First job an early start in Newbury where the guys fitted Wharf Simple worktops and breakfast bar in double-quick time:
Then on to Abingdon for a challenging Corian fit. Here the team crafted a smart seamless windowboard whilst onsite. Here’s the work in progress:
And here’s a video of the completed job:

So here is Vicky , our leading cad techie, hard at work in the CAD office.
The Wharf is unique in the way we use digital technology throughout the business, with every single component of every single job, starting its life on a screen.
Vicky takes the .dxf file created by our digital template systems, cleans it up with our CAD software and then, as if by magic, – using the CAM software - turns it into files that our CNC machine can understand. Clever little pixels.

Even though the fabricators are getting their Christmas shopping completed, the CNC at Wharf Solid Surface is busy working the weekend. Here you can see it cutting out the sample case inserts that we use to sell our lovely Wharf Simple Worktops.
For the techies amongst you…..it is cutting at 100mm/sec, at 20000 rpm and using a 6mm “O” flute solid carbide cutter.
….yawn…….yawn……. Pass me a mince pie.

Here are the lovely fitters from SBS kitchens in Portsmouth. We were templating a Wharf Simple job for them today with our LT55 laser template system.
This usually creates a bit of interest when we set up, and these chaps were no different. Our boss, Trevor, has invited them to the workshop to see the entire process – an offer open to anyone.
They even made him a cup of tea, which was very welcome on such a cold day!
Thanks very much!
